Fall Equinox Yinyasa Workshop
Time & Location
About The Event
Its all about balance in this experiential workshop we will explore the complementary practices of Yin and Flow Styles of Yoga in which students will participate in a 90 minute practice including guided meditation, breath work, and both Yin and Vinyasa shapes and movements.
Yin Yoga is a slower practice with a focus on down regulating the nervous system, targeting the connective tissues, and exploring the inner landscape of the mind, body and soul. Seated & reclined shapes are held longer with a focus on release and relaxation in the muscles. Yin yoga is the perfect counter-balance to a strong Vinyasa flow practice. It’s an inward-focused practice, and a meditative and mindful approach to yoga.
Vinyasa/Flow yoga is an active yoga practice that links one pose to the next in a flow-like manner, using the breath to move you from pose to pose. Each movement in the flow is done in time with an inhalation or an exhalation, allowing the poses to run together and become almost like a smooth dance.
